### Start From a Template, Not a Blank Page

Every Spy Challenge begins with a professionally designed card layout — pick the one that matches your event and you are already most of the way there. Premium templates, 100+ fonts and hundreds of graphics are open before you buy. From there it works like a design canvas: rewrite the text, swap fonts and colors, move elements around, resize anything. Two game formats come built in. **Secret Mission** gives every guest their own covert assignment to complete during the event. **Find the Spy** hands one guest the imposter card and leaves everyone else to work out who it is.

AI-Powered

### AI That Writes the Missions for You

Describe your event — "a 40th birthday for a group of friends who have known each other since university" — and the AI writes a complete set of missions built around your guests. Review each one and edit it directly, ask the AI to rephrase a single line, shift the tone from playful to mischievous, or generate an entirely new set with one click. Missions are written in whichever puzzle language you choose. The AI mission writer unlocks with any package.

Online Play

### Or Run It Live From Their Phones

Publish your Spy Challenge and share the link. Guests open it in their browser — no app, no sign-up — and a live leaderboard tracks progress in real time as the game unfolds. Add a password so only invited guests can get in, and project the leaderboard on a screen to keep the whole room watching. Online play and the live leaderboard unlock with any package.

Print & Export

### Print-Ready Mission Cards

Before you buy, download a watermarked preview to check the result. When you are ready, any package unlocks the print-ready PDF for professional printing and a high-resolution PNG for quick sharing. There are 13 print sizes, from 5×7 place-setting cards up to large-format posters for a briefing board at the entrance. Print a stack, fold them, and hand one to each guest as they arrive.

PERFECT FOR EVERY OCCASION

### Every Room Has a Secret in It

Wherever people need an excuse to talk to each other, a Spy Challenge does the work for you.

#### Wedding & Engagement

Give every guest a secret mission during cocktail hour — find out who cried first at the ceremony, or which table has been to the most countries. Two families who have never met start talking within minutes.

#### Birthday Party

Missions built around the guest of honor's history, habits, and the stories everyone half remembers. Perfect for milestone birthdays where the guests span three decades of someone's life.

#### Bridal & Baby Shower

A quieter, funnier alternative to the usual shower games. Each guest gets a discreet mission about the bride or the parents-to-be, and the reveal at the end is half the entertainment.

#### Team Building

Onboarding weeks, offsites, and end-of-quarter socials. Missions that get people talking across departments, or a Find the Spy round that turns a conference room into a proper competition.

#### Classroom

First-week icebreakers, end-of-term rewards, and subject missions that send students hunting for answers instead of waiting to be given them. Print a set or run it live on the classroom screen.

#### Just for Fun

Game nights, holiday dinners, family reunions, flat parties. Send the link around, let everyone find out who the spy is, and watch a room full of people stop looking at their phones.

FAQ

### Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Spy Challenge?

It is a card-based party game with two formats. In **Secret Mission**, every guest receives a card with a covert assignment to complete during the event — find out something about another guest, get someone to say a particular word, discover who did what. In **Find the Spy**, one guest is secretly given the spy card while everyone else tries to identify them. Both formats work as printed cards or as a live online game.

Which parts can I use before paying?

You can open the builder, pick a template, lay out your cards and download a watermarked preview without paying anything. This isn't a free plan or a trial — it's there so you can see the product before you decide. A package unlocks the AI mission writer, the watermark-free print files and online publishing with the leaderboard. You pay once, for that occasion, and every purchase is covered by a 14-day refund. See [Pricing](https://puzzlebuilder.co/pricing/) for the full breakdown.

Do I need design skills to edit a template?

No. The templates are already laid out for you — in most cases you only need to replace the mission text and you are finished. If you want to go further, every element on the card can be moved, resized, recolored, or set in a different font directly on the canvas. Nothing is locked.

Can guests play on their phones?

Yes. Publish your Spy Challenge and you get a shareable link. Guests open it directly in their browser — no app download and no sign-up needed — and a live leaderboard tracks progress as the game runs. You can also password-protect the game so only invited guests can join. Online play unlocks with any package.

How many missions should I include?

For a wedding or party, one mission per guest works best — each person gets a single card and a single job, which keeps things simple while the event is going on. For team building or classroom sessions where the game is the main activity rather than a background one, three to five missions per person gives you a round that runs about twenty minutes.

Which languages are supported?

You can build a Spy Challenge in eight languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Turkish, Dutch, and Portuguese. The AI writes the missions in whichever puzzle language you select.

Can I use PuzzleBuilder for commercial purposes?

Games you create with PuzzleBuilder are for personal use — your own events, classrooms, and celebrations. Commercial redistribution or resale of the games is not permitted. See the [License Policy](https://puzzlebuilder.co/license-policy/) for full details.
